Who we are
This website (atriohobart.com) is operated by Atrio, a cafe and cocktail bar by the Casa de Amor team, located at Suite 3, 11 Morrison Street, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia. For any privacy question, contact us at bookings.atrio@gmail.com or 03 6169 2286.
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through this website and why — it's general information, not legal advice.
Information you give us
When you submit a reservation request through this site, we collect the details you enter: your name, an email address and/or phone number, preferred date and time, party size, and any note or special request you add.
That request is sent by email directly to our bookings inbox using our email provider, Resend. We do not store requests in a separate database on this website; the email is kept in our inbox so we can follow up with you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may automatically collect:
- Pages viewed, time on site, and general navigation behaviour
- Approximate location, device type, browser and referral source
- Interactions with specific actions on the site, such as clicking “Call Atrio”, clicking “Get directions”, or submitting the reservation request form
For the reservation form specifically, we use Google’s Enhanced Conversions feature, which sends a securely hashed version of the email or phone number you submitted to Google so it can match your request to an ad interaction. Google states this hashed data cannot be reversed to reveal your original contact details. We do not send Google your name or the contents of your request.
The Meta Pixel similarly records page views and the actions above so we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising, and build audiences for future campaigns. We do not send Meta your name or the contents of your request.
Cookies
We don't set our own cookies on this site. Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel set their own cookies in your browser (for example, to recognise repeat visits or link an ad click to a later action) as part of the services above. You can control or clear these through your browser settings, or opt out using the tools listed below.
How we use this information
- To respond to your reservation request and communicate with you about it
- To understand how people find and use our website, so we can improve it
- To measure whether our Google Ads and Meta advertising is working, and to report conversions back to those platforms
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your reservation details with anyone other than the service providers below.
Who we share information with
- Resend — delivers reservation request emails from this site to our inbox.
- Google (Analytics & Ads) — processes site-usage and conversion data as described above, under Google's own Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — processes site-usage and conversion data via the Meta Pixel as described above, under Meta's own Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website and its underlying infrastructure.
Data retention
Reservation request emails are kept in our inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to and manage your booking, and for our general business records. Google and Meta retain analytics and advertising data according to their own retention settings, which we configure where possible to the shortest practical period.
Your choices
- To stop personalised Google ads, visit Google Ads Settings.
- To opt out of Google Analytics generally, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- To control how Meta uses your data for ads, visit your Meta Ad Preferences.
- To ask us to delete a reservation request email you sent us, contact us using the details above.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on our providers' (Resend, Google, Meta, Vercel) own security practices for data handled on their platforms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or the tools we use. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent revision.
