This website (atriohobart.com) is operated by Atrio, a cafe and cocktail bar by the Casa de Amor team, located at Suite 3, 11 Morrison Street, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia. For any privacy question, contact us at bookings.atrio@gmail.com or 03 6169 2286.
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through this website and why — it's general information, not legal advice.
Information you give us
Table bookings. Table bookings on this site are made through Tara, our online booking provider. When you book, the booking form is provided by Tara, and the details you enter (such as your name, contact details, date, time, party size and any notes) are collected by Tara and shared with us so we can manage your booking. Tara handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Private event enquiries. When you send a private event enquiry through this site, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, event type, preferred date and time, approximate guest count, any food or drinks requirements, and any other details you add. That enquiry is sent by email directly to our bookings inbox using our email provider, Resend. We do not store enquiries in a separate database on this website; the email is kept in our inbox so we can follow up with you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may automatically collect:
- Pages viewed, time on site, and general navigation behaviour
- Approximate location, device type, browser and referral source
- Interactions with specific actions on the site, such as clicking “Book a Table”, completing a table booking, clicking “Call Atrio”, clicking “Get directions”, or successfully sending a private event enquiry
When you complete a table booking or send a private event enquiry, Google and Meta are told that it happened so we can measure our advertising. For a booking, this includes Tara's booking reference so the same booking isn't counted twice. We do not send them your name, contact details or the contents of your booking or enquiry.
The Meta Pixel records page views and the actions above so we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising, and build audiences for future campaigns.
Cookies
We don't set our own cookies on this site. Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel set their own cookies in your browser (for example, to recognise repeat visits or link an ad click to a later action) as part of the services above. You can control or clear these through your browser settings, or opt out using the tools listed below.
How we use this information
- To manage your table booking and respond to your private event enquiry, and to communicate with you about them
- To understand how people find and use our website, so we can improve it
- To measure whether our Google Ads and Meta advertising is working, and to report conversions back to those platforms
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your booking or enquiry details with anyone other than the service providers below.
Who we share information with
- Tara — provides our online table booking system and processes the details you enter when you book.
- Resend — delivers private event enquiry emails from this site to our inbox.
- Google (Analytics & Ads) — processes site-usage and conversion data as described above, under Google's own Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — processes site-usage and conversion data via the Meta Pixel as described above, under Meta's own Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website and its underlying infrastructure.
Data retention
Table bookings are kept in Tara, and private event enquiry emails in our inbox, for as long as reasonably needed to manage your booking or enquiry, and for our general business records. Tara also retains booking data according to its own policies. Google and Meta retain analytics and advertising data according to their own retention settings, which we configure where possible to the shortest practical period.
Your choices
- To stop personalised Google ads, visit Google Ads Settings.
- To opt out of Google Analytics generally, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- To control how Meta uses your data for ads, visit your Meta Ad Preferences.
- To ask us to delete your booking details or a private event enquiry you sent us, contact us using the details above.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on our providers' (Tara, Resend, Google, Meta, Vercel) own security practices for data handled on their platforms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or the tools we use. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent revision.
